Who we are:

Dr. Yihong Mao,
was born in Beijing. After her school years in China she was sent to work in the countryside due to the Cultural Revolution where she also took up teaching. She studied philosophy at renowned Chinese universities and received her PhD at university Duesseldorf, Germany. She returned to Beijing and taught as a professor at the Institute of Philosophy of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences from 1994 to 1996.

Since 1997 she’s been living in Berlin, where she worked in adult education, teaching Chinese language, as well as Chinese philosophy and humanities at various universities. In 2000 she began placing Chinese students in German, English and Swiss boarding schools, working close with Chinese educational institutions. From these interactions with headmasters, teachers, pupils and their parents, she has gained much experience in solving problems Chinese students are faced with,  such as language barriers, different teaching subjects and culture shock. With her help, however, all of these students were able to overcome their difficulties and succeeded wherever they were.
